Northampton County Pennsylvania weed identification creeping charlie ground ivy lawn weed

If this weed has a square stem, currently has purple flowers, and almost a minty smell, it is creeping Charlie, also known as ground ivy.http://extension.umd.edu/hgic/ground-ivy Note the conditions that favor it and try to change them. This is a tough weed to kill with herbicides. The following publication has a chart (at the end) with some ingredients that work: http://extension.umd.edu/sites/default/files/_images/programs/hgic/Publications/non_HGIC_FS/TT%2049%...

However, we cannot see any single leaf clearly. You may want to send us more photos.
