Rabbit question

Asked April 11, 2016, 8:25 AM EDT

I raise meat rabbits for my family but have had a few people ask me to sell them rabbits. I have been looking online for Michigan's laws and find some conflicting information. I have no interest in trying to butcher for others. They would be sold live to do with as the new owner pleases. That being said do I need to do anything special in order to sell live meat breed rabbits in the state of Michigan to other individuals. I would be keeping records and filing the appropriate taxes (what ever those may be, my tax guy will know). I do not want to break any laws and end up in a s--- storm over some meat rabbits. Thank you for your answers.

As long as you are selling the live animal, you do not need a license.
