Black plum trees?

My husband LOVES the dark dark purple plums. We have a small orchard....do they grow in Colorado? We live on Western Slope - Olathe the be exact

I'm not exactly sure which specific plum you are referring to. Do you see this type in the grocery store? Here is a great article done by one of our Hort Agents on the front range. These will work here too. I have seen Elephant Heart plums here as well.
