Caterpillars attacking my persimmon tree

Asked April 7, 2016, 12:45 AM EDT

Hi,

I found a number of these catapillars on my persimmon tree (mainly under the sepals of the fruit). What sort of caterpillar is this? And what is best organic way to get rid of this pest?

Thanks,

Dwain

It looks like it might be light brown apple moth:

I would recommend that you contact an agricultural agency or university in your country to find out for sure.
