Invasive Praying Mantis

I found loads of praying mantis eggs in my park. Someone told me these species is a non native and invasice here in maryland. Do we have invasive mantids here? And if so which ones are they so i can research them and compare to confirm identity of species i have

There are several praying mantis species in Maryland. Several are not native. The Chinese mantis is the most commonly encountered. They are big predators and can even take out a hummingbird, but they are not generally considered a threat.
