frost damage/wilting elephant ears

Asked March 20, 2016, 11:32 AM EDT

I have a 2 year old potted elephant ear plant. I recently(2 days ago) brought the pot and plant outside on a earlier than usual warm day. There was a light frost warning for that night so I covered the plant. The next morning I uncovered the plant and the leaves were completely wilted. I brought them back inside to warm it back up. What can I do at this point to save the plant?

The plant did not have sufficient time to harden off. The sudden change in temperature accompanied by windy conditions caused the plant to wilt. Keep it well watered , it should recover on its own.Keep it indoors as long as there is a possibility of frost.
