Our yard is a throughfare for deer. These deer ruin my plants year round. I have tried various types of spray repellents with varying degrees of success, but they don't last long and require repeated application. Do you have suggestions for repellents that work longer term? Thanks!

As you have already observed, deer repellents can be effective but need to be applied frequently. Fencing is effective and be be less expensive in the long run.The attached publication will give you some insight on deer repellents, their cost and effectiveness .http://extension.umd.edu/learn/pubs/using-commercial-deer-repellents-manage-deer-browsing-landscape-...
