Ash Borer treatment

Asked March 16, 2016, 7:09 PM EDT

I've been treated ashes on my property for the last few years. They come every other year with treatment. Is this something I continue to need to do - forever or for a limited time? Thank you!

Recommended intervals between treatment vary from one to three years depending upon application methods and the chemicals applied.
After most ash trees in an area of infestation are killed, the borer population declines. Although risk to protected trees persists after that, less frequent applications may then be sufficient to maintain control.
