What type of citrus tree is this?

Asked March 13, 2016, 6:37 PM EDT

I purchased a container type citrus tree from a local nursery, it did not have a tag of the type it is. I was hoping to get help identifying it by its flower and leaves. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I am unable to identify citrus by the leaf and/or flower. I will send it to someone else in hopes that they can help you.

Most likely, this plant is a sweet orange or navel orange. But it could also be a mandarin, possibly a satsuma. Many citrus look similar from foliage and flowers, so there is going to be some uncertainty without a DNA test or waiting on fruit to mature. You should have your answer in about 8-9 months when the fruit matures.
