Bats

I have bats in my eve in the summer. Do they leave in the winter? I want to plug the entrance areas but don't want to if they are hibernating in there.

Some Minnesota bat species are migratory and do not spend the winter here. Those that do not migrate usually hibernate in mines or caves, not buildings, so it's unlikely that bats are present on your premises now. This would be a good time to plug the entrance areas.
