Rain Water Harvesting

Asked February 24, 2016, 9:16 AM EST

Our historic neighborhood is currently under plan by the City of Dallas for large drains being placed on vacant residential properties to address flooding issues. We as neighbors are concerned about the plan and would like to speak to somebody regarding the feasibility of rain water harvesting to be used for irrigation of our local parks and /or businesses. City Council is voting on this matter in three weeks. We would appreciate any input you might be able to give us in order to prepare for our presentation of alternative solutions for drainage to City Council .

Rainwater harvesting is a stormwater mitigation as well as a method for collecting water for irrigation.
