We have lived in Oldham County (40026) since 1986. Last summer I noticed one mole track in my back yard. Now (February, 2016), my front yard is covered with long mounds. Any guess why and what can I do when the weather breaks?

Moles are solitary creators so the damage was most likely done by a single mole. Spraying or treating your lawn for grubs will not eliminate the mole problem. They also eat worms and insects. The most effective way to control moles is by trapping or the new worm shaped baits placed in an active tunnel. For more detailed information contact your Oldham County Cooperative Extension Office.
