Lawn repair question

Asked February 16, 2016, 10:20 AM EST

Our front lawn was put in by the previous owner, who chose some kind of sod, so initially it looked thick and healthy. Over time, though, bald patches have begun to appear. On the advice of others, we've tried fertilizing the entire lawn as well as adding seed to the bald spots but nothing has worked. The grass predominately is still thick, green, and growing, with the exception of these spots. How should we go about successfully filling things in, and when? What should we know about lawn care for this area? Thank you!

Thank you for your question regarding your lawn. I've included the link to a publication with a lot of information about lawn care including reseeding. If you want to know the reason behind the patches happening, we would need to see a picture to help assess the problem. I hope this helps!
