Dates for starting seeds for transplanting

Asked February 11, 2016, 3:57 PM EST

Is there a chart similar to the planting date chart, that shows recommended dates to start seeds indoors for transplants for common vegetables and annuals?

We do not have a chart listing planting dates for vegetables but we do have a video on seed starting and recommended dates to start seeds. The last freeze date for Baltimore County is May 1st. Warm season plants ,like tomatoes, peppers and eggplant should be planted outdoors after the last frost date, this is usually around Mother's Day.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmEEX6-8HEo

Your timing is good. Search online "Adrian Higgins planting guide" and look for the 2/10 Wash Post column which addresses indoor and outdoor seed planting. It may not be perfect but he is an expert gardener and it undoubtedly is a good place to start.
Good luck from a gardener in AA County.
