This is a clipping from its mother plant. Was told that it sheds babys to produce more. When its mature it produces a pink bell flower

This is most likely "mother of thousands" (Kalanchoe daigremontiana). Young plants do indeed grow along the edges of the parent plant. When the "babies" fall off, they root upon touching the ground.
