Help! My tree is falling

Asked November 20, 2015, 2:14 AM EST

My tangerine tree is growing at an angle, more and more each year. It appears to be leaning at about 15 degrees now. Can it be straightened up? If so how? The tangerines are extra large, sweet and juicy, please tell me the tree can be saved.

You can try attaching 2 guy wires on the other side at a 45 degree angle to each other and gradually tighten the wires over the next 2-3 months to bring it just past upright. Then leave the wires in place for a year and a half. Use a section of garden hose around the wires where they contact the tree to avoid cutting into the limbs and check these areas periodically.
