Anchor bolts for equipment foundation

Asked November 19, 2015, 12:44 PM EST

We have an equipment that needs to be installed on concrete foundation. The equipment has to be supplied by one contractor whereas the foundations have to be casted by other. The anchor bolts to install the equipment are not explicitly mentioned in both contracts. Can you please advise generally whose responsibility is to provide the anchor bolts? Can anyone give me example of similar case

If there is no overall general contractor, my suggestion is to communicate and contract with both, so the equipment installer can identify what sorts of hardware can be installed on the equipment, but include them in the foundation scope of work and materials so they provide and install the deep anchors in the wet concrete before it cures. Then the equipment installer needs to drill holes in equipment to match and install the washers and bolts.
