Lawn invading Ground ivy

How can I get ground ivy under contro in my lawn and prevent it from invading/overtaking my garden areas?

This is a tough perennial weed, as you no doubt know. Use barriers such as pavers to block it from beds when possible.

Many of these tough perennial lawn weeds are more susceptible to herbicides in late summer-early fall than in the spring. It may be too late this fall, as the effectiveness is somewhat weather dependent, though not exact.

We recommend herbicides that contain triclopyr. This is usually found in combination with other ingredients in lawn herbicides. Trimec is a common combination.
