We have about ten acres of pasture for two horses and would like to re-seed at some point in the next year. Horses are on 24/7 turnout. We are able to close off pastures and rotate during the year. When is the best time to put down new seed?

Attached are some articles to assist you in the management of your pastures for horses. It would be best if you could rotate, especially keeping them off the field you are reestablishing. Soil sampling is the first place to start and we can send those samples off from our office. Each sample is $15. Directions can be found at www.clermont.osu.edu under Agriculture and Natural Resources. If you have any further questions, my contact information is below and the Clermont County Extension office is located on the Clermont County Fairgrounds in Owensville.

I do have additional resources, but they are pdf and I am unable to upload a pdf to this resource.
