As a result of my online search, I have concluded that my pear trees suffer from "pear stony pit". I have learned that a virus is responsible for the formation of stone pits and the gnarled appearance of the fruit, but I have not come across a treatment. Can you help me?

The links below will provide you with some useful information, although they do not give suggestions on treatment for the problem. You may have found these resources in your own online research. One hopeful fact is that this condition may not affect the fruit on your tree every year.
