We are doing some Fall planting in our backyard. Area is full sun with about a 25 degree slope away from the attached garage. We have been recommended to use 3 Adam Crabapple trees. spaced 15ft apart. I have not been able to find information on this variety. We live in Stillwater. Disease resistant? insect resistant? Have lot of deer nightly? What is the height and width of mature growth? Slow/fast growing tree?

Thank you for the question. We found information on "Adam's crabapple" so possibly the person who recommended it to you neglected to add the "s" to Adam! It is described as being apple scab and fireblight resistant. Unless you protect the trees with barriers, deer will be a big problem. Dimensions are described as 15-20 feet tall and wide but this is relative depending on growing conditions, weather, care, (deer). We don't know if it is particularly fast growing or not. Also remember that disease resistant doesn't mean disease proof and if the tree is in poor health, disease or insects will still be a problem. Read these publications to learn more:
