what kind of shade tree/
Is there a slow growing shade tree that is not much over 12 feet high, with a span of about a 10 to 12 foot span with the lower branches about 6 feet high, for Eugene? Thank you

Here are a couple of websites to look through with descriptions, sizes, growth info:

My personal favorites are the maples (Sangu Kaku for the interesting colors of the leaves and bark), Also, disease-resistant dogwoods are manageable and are very attractive. Japanese Snowbell and Stewartia can get a little bigger than you may want, but can be pruned back to keep its shape and beauty. Good luck and have fun selecting!
