What cheap, reliable way would you recommend for testing the pH for home canning? Strips seem to only read to the closest number, and the electronic probes seem to be expensive. Recommendations for a specific tester that is economically feasible (under $100)?

There is not an inexpensive pH meter if it is only for one batch. Check with the science teacher at your high school to see if he/she could test it.
