I just had a palm yucca planted in my front yard in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Do I need to water it?

If you have just planted it, you will need to water it to help reduce some of the stress associated with transplanting it. Don't over water, however. Wait until the soil has dried out somewhat to lightly water it. Over-watering may make the plant susceptible to fungal diseases or root rot.
