Yellowwood tree

We are considering a Persian ironwood or a yellowwood tree to replace a 100-year-old sugar maple that developed heartwood rot in our front yard. Can you pinpoint where on campus these two trees might be found so we can look at them?

Ingham County Michigan

I may work for MSUE but no one has ever given us maps of where trees or plants are located.

But this is going to get more simple because Persian Ironwood is not hardy to Michigan. You are in zone 5 for cold hardiness but the tree is only hardy to zones 6-7. Or the short version: it will be killed by spending the winter in Ingham County.
