What is the best fertilizer for fruit trees?

I would like to know what is the best fertilizer to use on my fruit trees and when is the best time is to apply it.

There are many all-around fertilizers, like 13-13-13 that are good for many fruit trees. Applications should be made in the months from March to July. The rate and specific timing varies by species.
