Louisville Fescue Planting
As frustrating as it is, the quick answer is both yes and no.
Technically, seeding through the end of September is correct but Kentucky weather usually holds for the first two weeks in October. The ground stays warm enough that fescue (which is a cool season grass) will germinate and has time to establish almost every year through mid-October. Planning to seed past the second week in October just means there is a little more risk for weather problems.
