Food for wildlife

Asked September 15, 2015, 11:21 PM EDT

We live NW of Amboy, WA on 10 acres and would like to plant food to help the wildlife, primarily deer, through the winter to come. We are forested and reside at 750 feet elevation. What would be best to plant now (Sept. 15th) that will grow through the winter?

Please send me your email and we can pick up this conversation. I'm not an expert on wildlife food plots and that may make a difference depending on your stand architecture, surrounding ownerships, etc. I have literature and we also have a wildlife biologist who does this as a day job, and can meet with you on site. Please send an email to me at andyp@wsu.edu and indicate how best to communicate with you.
