split leaf philodendron hibernation

Asked September 12, 2015, 9:57 AM EDT

i have had this hearty plant for nearly a year now. I just recently (about 2-3 weeks ago) repotted in a larger pot because it grew in the year I had it. Now the main trunk is rapidly losing its leaves. My question is do split leaf philodendron plants hibernate and shed old growth? I'm asking because the other two trunks don't seem to be losing leaves as rapidly. Thanks

Hello,

Should have done this in the spring time when new growth started.

.It's going through transplant shock.

Hopefully the container has good drainage and you used a premium potting mix.

Don't over water it.

Just be patient.with it and see what happens.
