Can you tell me what kind of squash this is? I planted seeds from a acorn squash I grew last year.

This looks like a gourd of some sort. One thing to remember when saving seed from cucurbit crops like acorn squash is that they are open pollinated. That means that if pollen from a neighboring plant that was not acorn squash fertilizes your acorn squash, you may end with seeds that will produce fruit that will not be acorn squash. And that is probably what happened in your case. I have added a link to an article on seed saving that may help.http://extension.oregonstate.edu/lane/sites/default/files/collecting_and_storing_seeds.pdf
