Amaranthus retroflexus

Asked July 27, 2015, 12:22 PM EDT

Hello,
Where can I obtain seeds to grow Amaranthus retroflexus (pigweed) and Chenopodium album (lambs quarters)? I understand that they are excellent food sources for calcium, much higher even than dairy products, black beans, and kale, and I'm trying to increase the calcium in my diet. I'd like to grow them in my tiny city garden.
Thanks very much!

These are weeds and can be found growing in weedy, overgrown areas. You could harvest these seeds--permission will probably be freely given!

Otherwise, just select a reputable online source. We have never purchased any and are not familiar with a particular supplier.
