I'm a Master Gardener in Mt. Pleasant and was asked a question at the Farmer's Market today. I've researched a bit but haven't been able to find the answer. Any tips would be appreciated: "Can you name an invasive vine that grows in the grass? It has little red berries. The entire lawn is red as it's invaded the entire lawn." I'll continue to research with hopes of finding the name of the vine. Thank you very much, JAF
As you are finding out, it is hard to ID a plant without a specimen or photo. If your client can provide you with either that would be best. I am wondering about a nightshade? The other thing is that where there are berries there had to have been a flower. A description of that would also help narrow the search. Good luck. If you get either and more input write back!
