Bitter Gourd plant

Asked July 21, 2015, 2:42 PM EDT

My bitter gourd plant seems to be infested with some thing. Few leaves are turning yellow and have dark spots on them. Before it spreads I want to take care of it. Please let ,me know what is wrong with the leaves.

We cannot say for sure but it is possible the foliage may be affected by a leaf spot disease. These diseases can be prevalent during wet, humid weather. We recommend that you prune affected leaves. Most of these are not serious and in very few cases is spraying a fungicide recommended. When disease symptoms are noticed it is usually to late to spray a fungicide. Monitor the health of the plant this growing season and you can send additional photos if symptoms progress.
