Asked July 15, 2015, 1:00 PM EDT

my pine trees that I planted some ten to twelve years ago are turning brown in certain spots I also planted them like 36 inches apart ,not knowing that they would grow some 40 feet high .I planted them on the at the rear of my one acre lot as a border from the home behind me. This is not very much information to go on but maybe you can advise me as to who could help .

We would like to see photos of the tree so we can see what you may be dealing with. Send photos of the whole tree, around the base, and affected foliage. Reasons for browning include winter damage, lack of sunlight, competition for moisture and nutrients, etc.
