Squash blooms but no vegetables

The blooms keep falling off of my huge squash plants without producing vegetables....help.

This is normal. Squash has flowers that are either male or female, but only the females produce fruits. Often the earliest flowers are many males and drop off. You can tell them apart by looking behind the flower for tiny fruits which will develop later.
You should get some soon.

Actually it was worse than just the blooms....at the ground level..I noticed the stems were gooey and pulled right off...then I noticed a worm-grub. I dug out the rest of the diseased plant.
