How to care for Kalanchoe in summer

Asked July 5, 2015, 12:10 PM EDT

My Kalamchoe plant gifted to me in June was flowering beautifully but now yellow flowers are turning brown. I was keeping it inside but moved it outside because I didn't think it had enough light. I have not overwatered and it is in original pot I was given. Is this plant expected to keep blooming or should I be cutting off dead flowers and pruning as if it is the end of its season? I would like to keep it blooming throughout the summer. Should I repot in bigger container?

Look at the link from Clemson for care of kalanchoe. This plant is not easy to get to rebloom. Kalanchoe blossfediana, the most popular flowering species is usually discarded after flowering because it produces unattractive growth and does not readily flower indoors.
