Is it safe to eat the fruit from any kind of mulberry tree?
Thank you for the question. Unfortunately, I only see one photo and it has a few red berries surrounded by some twigs and leaves. As far as I know, there isn't a mulberry that isn't edible. A University of Minnesota publication states that the white variety isn't as tasty as the red but I haven't read that you shouldn't eat it. Here is that publication: http://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/yard-garden/trees-shrubs/mulberry/
Also, here's information from Iowa State Forestry Extension with information on the tree and how to identify it.
Thank you for contacting Extension.
