Can I pot a bulb with a flower bud starting and hold it in the refrigerator for a month in order to delay the bloom?

Dear Gardener,

Thanks for contacting us. Cooler temperatures should slow the development of a bulb, but will not stop it entirely. If you put it in the fridge, keep an eye on it so that you don't completely miss the bloom. The potting medium needs some moisture, but keep it very minimal so the bulb doesn't rot.
