What's eating my lambs ear?

Asked June 13, 2015, 10:37 AM EDT

I planted lambs ear about a month ago. Soon after something began eating it. I've checked online and found that slugs and earwigs may eat the plant. However the pieces being eaten off seem too big for such critters. I put coffee grounds around the plant to discourage slugs, if that was the problem. But now it's nearly completely eaten.

I am unable to tell you what is eating your plant without seeing the damage, insect, arthropod,or mollusk. My recommendation is to bring is a part of the foliage that has been damaged along with arthropod or mollusk you see associated with it and then I can help.
