I have quack grass in my flower garden which is right next to my vegetable garden. I was going to take out my flowers and transfer them to the vegetable garden, then put a black plastic over the old flower garden for the rest of this year. Because both are quit large it will be a lot of work, so I need to make sure this will work. Suggests?

Your plan will probably work but you might be able to speed the process by using some of the control methods mentioned in the following University of Minnesota bulletin.
