It is unknown to me how the word ledger was used in your question. The Aged Debtors analysis is a report that can be prepared from a ledger account. In effect it enables you to determine how old your debts are for each supplier account, and what proportion is in the current period, 1 month, 2 months old etc.

That data, of course, that supplies the informatio for this report would come from the 'ledger'.

Maybe your question is more about the use of ledgers?
