Planning a Butterfly Garden and am working on the puddle needed. I have a low spot on the 1 acre+ of land I am allocating for this project. With the rain that we just got, there is standing water on black dirt in this spot. Is there someone there who can tell me how I could improve it to get the most minerals possible (eg adding sand, clay, what ever?) that are needed by the butterfly.

This is Stearns County (north of Albany), not Dakota.

Dakota County Minnesota
