Canadian Harmony Peach Trees

Asked May 18, 2015, 12:12 AM EDT

We have a large peach orchard with 7 or more varieties of peaches. The Canadian Harmony tree is the only variety that has no fruit this year. We are trying to figure out why no fruit since it's supposedly winter hardy. Its rather odd since the other varieties have generous amounts of fruit this year. thanks

Hi There;

Canadian Harmony is less cold hardy than other peach varieties. I wonder if the flower buds and shoots were killed by cole temperatures.

Congratulations to you on getting a lots of peaches on your peach trees. Other gardeners and growers are not as lucky. 2015 is another bad year for peach trees.
