Dear gardener,

Holes in the radish tubers can be caused by slugs. (Holes in the leaves are usually caused by flea beetles and are generally not too serious.) To control the slugs, cut plastic pots or food containers into rings about 4 inches high. Place these around your plants, pressing the edge about an inch below the surface. (Alternatively, you can just sow the seeds inside the rings.) Here are some other ideas for Slug Control: http://www.growveg.com/growblogpost.aspx?id=28
