When is the best time for me to plant the native Eastern redbud tree - now (spring) or fall? Will it do well on the edge of my wooded lot? Any other suggestions to ensure it grows well?

In the spring as soon as you can get into the ground is a good time to plant trees, including redbud. Now would be fine. http://extension.umd.edu/sites/default/files/_images/programs/hgic/Publications/HG24_Planting_tips_f... Red bud can be planted in the fall as well. vw
