ZBA meeting without applicant/representative

Asked April 24, 2015, 9:52 AM EDT

Can a case go in front of the ZBA if the applicant is traveling and can't make it, and does not have a representative. He wants to go ahead with it.

The applicant does not have to appear in front of the ZBA in order for them to hear a case. It simply removes the ability of the applicant to answer questions or make comments. The ZBA does what it is supposed to do and make a decision based upon the standards in the ordinance.
