Hello! I am interested in research on which mulch is best use for landscaping: pine or cedar? (I do not want to use cypress because of the depletion of the cypress forests, especially in Florida). Thanks!

I guess it depends on the areas you want to mulch - pathways, vegetable gardens, perennial beds, trees/shrubs? What about the Cyprus mulch do you like - the texture, the color, etc?

There are many different kinds of mulch, and as you know some of them are either not sustainable (like cyprus) or even toxic - like ground rubber or cocoa bean husks.
