Do you know of any fruit tree pruning workshops or experts that could help me? I have an overgrown peach tree (3 years old, never been pruned), as well as two apple trees and one sour cherry tree. All need pruning, but the peach is especially out of control. Thank you!

There is information on pruning each type of tree on our website in the Grow It Eat It section under Fruit.

Cherries are pruned to a central leader system like apple. See above.

Master Gardener programs sometimes have fruit tree pruning workshops. You can contact your nearby Maryland Counties to inquire about workshops: http://extension.umd.edu/mg/find-local-mg-program

Thank you so much for your quick response. I'm planning on going to a Grow It, Eat It workshop in August in Montgomery County.

Thank you.
