Dollar tree has small packs of seeds is the weather to cold. Is it to early or too late to plants seed in time for spring summer, autumn? Also what's the best way to keep weeds growing in your yard as well as potted plants? What are the best flowers and plant to plant that will come back yearly for non gardeners?

The seed packets you see in stores now are either for starting transplants indoors now (or soon) or for planting outdoors later.
For vegetables, there are charts and fact sheets in our Publications (tab on right side of homepage). Look under Vegetable, Fruits & Herb category. Here's one:

There is also another chart.

You can find all the helpful information you need about vegetable gardening in the Grow It Eat It section, which you'll see on our homepage.

Flowers that return year after year are called perennials. They can be raised from seeds or purchased as small plants. Here is our website's fact sheet on Perennials: http://extension.umd.edu/learn/introduction-herbaceous-perennials-hg20
