What is the most effective way to get rid of moles in my vineyard?
I have a vineyard which is overrun by moles. I have used traps in the past few years, but now they seem to go around the traps. Any advice on the most effective way to rid the vineyard of them?
If they are moles and not gophers, they are feeding on insects, worms, and other organisms in the soil and not damaging your vines.
If they are mounding soil in the rows and making it difficult to drive down the rows, you may need to try to control them with baits. Or when moles and gophers start going around the traps, it is a sign that you may need to change the type of trap you are using, or use a scent product to rub on the traps to override the human scent from handling the trap.
